Bacon Pecan Fudge

My dad likes bacon and chocolate. If yours does too, you should totally make him some of these.

Watch the video here.

INGREDIENTS

16 oz (454g) of chocolate

14 oz (397g) of sweetened condensed milk

¼ cup (58g) of butter, softened

¼ cup (60g) of heavy whipping cream

16 oz (453g) of bacon

2 cups (226g) of chopped pecans

SUPPLIES

A microwave-safe bowl

An 8×8 pan

A baking sheet

Some aluminum foil

A cutting board

Some parchment

A couple of spatulas

DIRECTIONS

Line the 8×8 pan with parchment then set it aside.

Place the pecans on a lined baking sheet, and toast them at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Slice the bacon into 1/4 -inch strips, place them on a lined baking sheet, and bake them for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

Drain the bacon grease and let the bacon cool.

Set aside 1/4 cup of the bacon to use as a topping.

Add the chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and whipping cream to a microwave-safe bowl, and heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until it’s melted and smooth.

Fold the bacon and pecans into the chocolate mixture.

Spread the fudge evenly into the lined 8×8 pan.

Top the fudge with the reserved bacon, and gently press it into the fudge.

Refrigerate it for 4 hours, or until it’s set.

Remove the fudge from the pan and cut it into whatever size pieces you’d like.
