Candy Cane Oreos

Oreos, covered in white chocolate, with a sprinkling of crushed candy canes. Who could ask for a better holiday treat?

INGREDIENTS

15 Mint Oreos, I like using Thins, because it adds a great crunch factor.

2 candy canes

10 oz of white chocolate melting wafers

1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract


SUPPLIES

Something to break up the candy canes

A plastic bag

A heatproof bowl

Some precision dipping tools

A lined cutting board


DIRECTIONS

Crush the candy canes using your favorite tool.

Melt the wafers following the package directions.

Add the peppermint extract and stir until it’s thoroughly combined.

Dip a cookie into the melted chocolate, drain the excess, then place it on the lined cutting board.

Immediately sprinkle some crushed candy cane over the top.

Repeat with the remaining cookies, then leave them on the counter to set.
