INGREDIENTS

254 g of honey

SUPPLIES

A baking sheet

Some parchment paper

Cooking spray

A saucepan

A candy thermometer

Cellophane or wax paper

DIRECTIONS

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and apply a light coat of cooking spray.

Place the honey and a candy thermometer in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the temperature reaches 280°F.

Pour the honey onto the prepared baking sheet and let it set until it’s cool enough to handle — don’t wait too long or it’ll be too hard to work with.

Fold the honey into a ball, then stretch it and fold it back onto itself.

Continue pulling until the color changes from amber to a light tan and it reaches your desired consistency.

Separate the taffy into halves and roll each piece into a 12-inch snake.

Cut each snake into 6 pieces and form each piece into whatever shape you’d like.

Wrap each piece in cellophane or wax paper.
