Nutella has been the same for over 60 years. Same jar, same label, same hazelnut-chocolate flavor that’s been in everyone’s pantry since the 1960s. Then, earlier this year, they did something they’ve never done before – they launched a new flavor. Nutella Peanut swaps the hazelnut for peanut, keeping that smooth, glossy consistency but pointing it squarely at the peanut butter crowd.

This is a simple, no-cook fudge – milk chocolate chips, Nutella Peanut, sweetened condensed milk, and a pinch of salt. Crushed salted peanuts go in the middle and on top for a little crunch and extra peanut punch. It sets in the fridge and cuts cleanly at room temperature. If you’ve been curious about this new spread, here’s a great excuse to try it.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup (180g) of milk chocolate chips

3/4 cups (234g) of Nutella Peanut spread

2/3 cup (200g) of sweetened condensed milk

1/3 cup (50g) of roasted, salted peanuts, divided

Pinch of salt

SUPPLIES

A zip-top bag

A rolling pin

A microwave-safe bowl

A 6×6 pan

Some parchment

A couple of spatulas

DIRECTIONS

Line the baking pan and set it aside.

Combine the chocolate and Nutella.

Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is melted, and the mixture is smooth.

Add the sweetened condensed milk and salt and stir until it’s fully combined.

This starts to set pretty quickly. If you’d like to give yourself a little more time, you can heat the sweetened condensed milk in the microwave for a few seconds.

Place half of the fudge in the lined baking pan and flatten it out.

Sprinkle half of the crushed peanut over the fudge.

Add the remaining fudge and flatten it, than sprinkle the remaining peanuts and gently press them into the fudge.

Place the fudge in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, or until it’s set.

Remove the fudge from the pan and cut it into whatever size pieces you’d like.
